The second edition of Command Control, the Cybersecurity Summit from Messe München, is just around the corner. On March 3-4, 2020 keynote addresses from leading thinkers from business, academia and politics will show how organizations can drive their digital transformation forward securely. The event is targeted specifically at those with cybersecurity responsibility such as CISOs, managing directors, risk managers and data protection officers. Targeted matchmaking measures on site ensure that attendees make contact with the right people for them.
“Cybersecurity is one of the most important factors in a successful digital transformation. Due to the daily changing threat landscape it is becoming increasingly challenging for companies to protect their data and workflows appropriately,” says Klaus Dittrich, Chairman and CEO of Messe München. “This is why decision-makers require new opportunities for sharing information and new management strategies. With Command Control we are offering the perfect platform and giving control back to companies in the digital world.”
The heart of Command Control is the interactive conference program with the participation of over 50 opinion leaders and leading experts from industry, business, academia and politics. Speakers who have already announced their participation include Philipp Amann, Head of Strategy at the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) at Europol, Adam Banks, CIO of the world’s biggest shipping company Maersk, Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, Professor at the Oxford Internet Institute, Jimmy Sanders, Head of Information security at Netflix, Dominik Schiener Co-founder and CEO of IOTA and Dr. Anna Zeiter, Chief Privacy Officer at eBay Inc. The central theme of the agenda is cyber resilience. This approach is based on the assumption that one hundred percent cybersecurity is no longer possible and that now the issue is to strengthen resistance to cyber attacks and, in the event of an attack, to mitigate the consequences as far as possible.
The agenda will focus on global foresight, business impact and professional growth. There will be a platform stage dedicated to each of these three perspectives of cybersecurity. The summit will also offer many interactive workshops. Attendees will have the opportunity to play an active part in these workshops— for instance as part of a crisis simulation training session which will focus on the right type of communications to deploy during a cyber attack.
On the evening of the second day of Command Control the very first Digital Transformer of the Year Awards Ceremony will take place. The prize will acknowledge companies who have excelled through taking positive steps in the digitization of their organization. 2020 will see the first presentation of awards in two categories where cybersecurity has been tackled using a cross-sector approach.
Throughout the event attendees will also be given the opportunity, with the assistance of targeted matchmaking software, to make personal contact with those people that are relevant to them as well as with other parties concerned. This process will use an AI-based networking app and a professional matchmaking team who will be networking individual attendees together. Themed face-to-face meetings and speed networking sessions will provide additional opportunities for personal contacts to be made.
Attendees at Command Control will also be able to obtain first-hand information from event partners, such as IBM, Verizon, Ernst & Young, Zscaler or Bitdefender, about current threats and the relevant possible solutions.
